All hail SAMCRO. FX has greenlighted “Sons of Anarchy” for a 13-episode second season.

The freshman motorcycle-club drama, created by Kurt Sutter, stars wife Katey Sagal, Hellboy legend Ron Perlman and Charlie Hunnam.

Written in the vein of Hamlet, Sons of Anarchy has quickly gained a cult following - and not just from motorcycle enthusiasts. The edgy series attracts estranged Sopranos fans and women who love watching Katey Sagal get her bad ass on.

Though still working out the kinks between over-dramatized situations and dark comedic undertones, Sutter has created a template for a winning series. According to the Hollywood Reporter, the series averages 3.5 million adults 18-49 on a weekly five-telecast cume basis.

The motorcycle-club drama from creator/exec producer Kurt Sutter has been given a 13-episode order for its sophomore run, with stars Charlie Hunnam, Katey Sagal and Ron Perlman on board. John Linson and Art Linson also exec produce the drama, from Fox 21 and FX Prods.

Sons of Anarchy airs every Wednesday at 10PM on FX.

Heroes Season 3 Episode 4, “I Am Become Death,” was without a doubt one of the best Heroes’ episodes of all time.

Future Peter brings his past self four years to the future only to see his future self die. Peter is convinced by his future self that stealing Syler’s powers is the only way to save the world. Unfortunately, the world always needs saving. And every decision, no matter how altruistic, can result in the end of the world.

What happens next may truly be one of the best Heroes’ scenes of all time. A battle is staged at the former Bennett house, between the team of Peter and Syler against team Claire. A reformed Syler, back to calling himself Gabriel, tries in vain to protect his son’s life. When he fails. Syler returns and goes nuclear. End of the future. Destruction shall set you free.

Season 3 of Heroes has renewed and bolstered our faith in Tim Kring.

The latest secret revealed on Heroes is that not all Heroes were born - some were created. Sad for Mohinder that he tried to create his own formula only to fail, and transform himself into some mutated hybrid. I guess he’s like a Morlock from the X-Men now.

Look out for Episode 5 of Heroes. We’ve got the return of Takezo Kensei aka Adam Monroe.

Synopsis
Peter, trying to save a world destined for destruction, takes on a dark, dangerous ability. It looks like the poster boy for Mr. Nice Guy is slowly making his transition to becoming his future bad ass self.

After allowing Angela’s (Christine Rose) half of “the formula” to be stolen, Hiro (Masi Oka) and Ando (James Kyson Lee) set out to uncover the identity of the Villain who hired Daphne (guest star Brea Grant) by consulting with the person who knows the Villains best… Adam Monroe (guest star David Anders).

After the bloodbath at the bank, H.R.G. (Jack Coleman) resolves to get rid of his new partner. Meanwhile, determined to be a hero, Claire (Hayden Panettiere) hits the road in pursuit of one of the Villains from H.R.G.’s old files. Suresh (Sendhil Ramamurthy) is tempted by impulse and the promise of unlocking the secrets of human ability. Linderman (guest star Malcolm McDowell) and Molly (guest star Adair Tishler) return with a twist. A new romance ignites between two Heroes.

Catch new episodes of Heroes Mondays at 9/8C.

Marvel and DC Comics Pull List Week of Oct. 8

There are a lot of titles on the Marvel pull list this week. The one I’m really eying is X-MEN: ORIGINAL SIN # 1.

We’ve got a couple Secret Invasion tie-ins but nothing outstanding. Honestly, I can’t say what’s really happened in the past two issues of Secret Invasion. Just a lot of nothing.

And DC Comics returns with a vengence… Or a crisis to be more precise. And more Batman RIP. We’ve got the conclusion to the Brainiac story arc, plus more Hush in Detective Comics. I’ve got to say Hush is making a run at Joker status with this recent arc. Taking out Catwoman’s heart may be the most vile thing I’ve seen in comicdom in a long time.

Secret Six is back with issue #2. This title is one to watch. I’ve followed the journey of the six since Villains United and it was easily one of the best Crisis arcs to date.

Did I mention more Green Lantern. You can’t go wrong with a little Geoff Johns added to your comic bag.

DC COMICS
ACTION COMICS #870
The “Brainiac” finale! It’s Superman versus Brainiac with everything at stake! No longer content to simply eradicate Superman, Brainiac is now determined to destroy Earth like so many other planets he’s left in his wake. But Brainiac’s ship is full of many bottles, inside of which some surprise guest-stars lurk! And while hope may blossom on Brainiac’s ship, there’s one life even the Man of Steel can’t save

DETECTIVE COMICS #849
A “Batman R.I.P.” tie-in! In this penultimate chapter of the 5-part arc “Heart of Hush,” Batman tears his way through Gotham City’s underworld to reach his dangerous adversary. But after the Dark Knight learns what his childhood friend-turned-villain is really after, will Batman be able to survive what Hush plans next? The lives of both Bruce Wayne and Tommy Elliot come full circle in this story of beginnings and brutal endings!

FINAL CRISIS: REVELATIONS #3 (OF 5)
The Anti-Life Equation has infected Gotham City, turning friend, foe and family into mindless slaves of Darkseid, and the might of the Spear of Destiny has left The Spectre powerless. Can The Question find the answer to restoring hope inside the one being capable of saving the world?

FINAL CRISIS: SUBMIT
In a world overrun by Darkseid’s Anti-Life Equation and his relentless storm troopers, do you choose to SUBMIT? As the lines between Super Hero and Super-Villain become blurred, the ultimate odd couple of Black Lightning and Tattoo Man, in what could be their final adventure, battle against the odds to save a family from the great darkness.

green lantern oaGREEN LANTERN #35
The conclusion to “Secret Origin”! The prelude to the Blackest Night begins as the climax of the story of Hal Jordan’s first adventure comes to a close! Hal and Sinestro are confronted by the Guardians over their greatest fears. Plus, Sinestro uncovers a new prophecy all his own as the stage is set for next month’s “Rage of the Red Lanterns”!

GREEN LANTERN CORPS #29
The lead-in to “Blackest Night” begins with “The Sins of the Star Sapphire.” Catch a glimpse into the beginning of the latest Corps being formed and what it will mean to the Green Lanterns. Plus, Ice proposes to Guy Gardner!

SECRET SIX #2
One of the most-requested and anticipated confrontations in recent DC history takes place right here: Catman vs. Batman! The Six’s latest mission takes the team to Alcatraz to free a Super-Villain, but what is the secret she carries that hundreds of villains would give their lives to possess? DC’s dirtiest team only gets dirtier, and we wouldn’t want it any other way!

TWO-FACE YEAR ONE #2 (OF 2)
The election coverage continues as Two-Face throws his hat in the ring! It’s the shocking conclusion to the tightest race in Gotham City history, and it’s only the beginning of Batman’s struggle with a man who used to be his best friend — and the monster within.

MARVEL COMICS
DEADPOOL # 3
The Story: SECRET INVASION TIE-IN!
“ONE OF US,” PART 3
As the next generation of Super-Skrull prepares to wreak havoc on our unsuspecting planet, Deadpool reveals his ultimate plan — a plan that is completely and utterly insane. Will it succeed? Will it fail? Will it…do BOTH!? Don’t miss out on the event that will re-establish Deadpool as one of the most controversial characters in the Marvel Universe!

SECRET INVASION: INHUMANS # 3
The Story: SECRET INVASION TIE-IN!
The hunt for Black Bolt takes the Inhumans into the stars! Medusa leads her Royal Family into space – and she’s about to make a devil’s bargain with the Kree – and Ronan the Accuser! Is the enemy of your enemy really your friend? And can the Inhumans keep their family together in time to find their King? Joe Pokaski (TV’s Heroes) and Tom Raney (ANNIHILATION: CONQUEST) continue the story that will lead not only to SECRET INVASION #8, but also to more cosmic action in 2009!

X-MEN: MAGNETO TESTAMENT # 2
The Story: The latest from the Marvel Knights line!
The definitive origin story of one of Marvel’s greatest icons continues as young Magneto, a Jewish boy in Hitler’s Germany, travels to Berlin with his father in a desperate attempt to secure protection from the Nazi menace. What new rules and skills must father and son learn to survive in this insane new world? And will those lessons be enough to save their family on the Night of Broken Glass?

X-MEN: MANIFEST DESTINY # 2
The Story: Mike Carey’s Iceman saga continues as things take a dark turn for Bobby Drake with the emergence of an old, deadly foe of the X-Men. Will this spell disaster for our hero or a new chapter in the history of this original X-Man? Also, Emma Frost as you’ve never seen her before. And find out what Boom Boom has been up to since NEXTWAVE!

The X-Men event of the fall begins in this one-shot! For years, Logan has been a man without a past, whose memories existed only as conflicting fragments. And Charles Xavier has been a master of his own mind and others. Now the tables are turned, and as WOLVERINE struggles to rescue his son, DAKEN, from the evil and darkness that have consumed him, PROFESSOR X comes face-to-face with the most terrifying secret of all! X-Men Evolution is being aired online, and we’ll be posting the videos as we get them. The series started off relatively slowly. It didn’t compare to its 90s counterpart, and was aimed at a younger audience.

As the series grew, so did the characters and plot arcs. This was one definitely worth checking out. We’ll start airing eps midway through the season so you have a good jumping on point.

Here’s X-Men: Evolution - Season 1 Episode 9.
