Sit tight, Breaking Bad faithful, the end is near.
After an excruciatingly long mid-season break of The Sopranos proportions, Breaking Bad is finally set to come back this Summer.
During its network upfront, AMC has announced that BB will return to the cable lines on Sunday, August 11 at 9pm. With eight final episodes slated to run, we’ll all know Walter White’s fate by sometime around early Fall. Speaking of the end, series creator Vince Gilligan is on tap to write and direct the show’s final episode.
Also announced is new show Talking Bad, a live show in the vein of the network’s popular Talking Dead program that follows The Walking Dead. I’d expect the new show to feature a similar format to Talking Dead, where new developments are dissected and discussed. It will similarly launch on August 11th.
Hopefully, this means that the Breaking Bad camp will once again visit San Diego Comic Con in July to tease about these final episodes. Cast and crew made their way down to the comics and entertainment convention for the first time last July.
For those of you who have yet to see this gem, now would be a good time to start watching. And for those who are well-versed on all things Heisenberg, another run through of the first four and a half seasons is not a bad way to spend this Spring and early Summer.
