We’ve all seen Henry Cavill in Superman’s new threads up close while on the set of Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel and now featured on the May cover of Total Film magazine is Amy Adams as Lois Lane. When she was chosen for the role, we thought highly of the casting decision as she balance being an aggressive chatterbox reporter, fire off snappy dialogue, and be a romantic interest for the son of Jor El. She definitely looks the part here in a professional gray pencil skirt, black vest and white blouse.

The cover photo is a nice contrast that is symbolic of two worlds colliding, Cavill stands behind her in his space age latex rubber suit. The colors on the Superman costume have been muted down, perhaps for a darker tone/approach of the film and perhaps take out some of the garish brightness of real world fabric vs. a colored comic book. That choice in colors has had the costume nerds debating, but as far as colors go, we like it.

Also what’s nice about this image is that Cavill is Superman, not in his disguise, Clark Kent and that’s really the romance between these two. She’s not enamored with a farm boy reporter from Kansas, she’s fascinated by Superman and that’s what she’s writing about in the Daily Planet and that’s the crux of this relationship.
