Season 4 of Archer is just six episodes old, but FX is not waiting to tell the cast and crew that they’ve been rewarded with a fifth season. They certainly earned it.
Ratings are at all-time highs this season, posting incredible gains in key demos, +44% in Adults 18-34 and +36% in Adults 18-49 over Season 3. Compare their numbers to Season 1 and Archer has boosted their audience by +92% in Total Viewers, 129% in Adults 18-34, 128% in Adults 18-49, and 160% in Men 18-49 (Live+7).
Archer is also the #2 cable show for Men 18-34 only behind The Walking Dead and has won the 10PM Thursday night in four of the last six weeks. “Archer is one the very best comedy series on television,” said Executive Vice President of Original Programming and Development, FX Nick Grad.

“Adam Reed, Matt Thompson and the incredible cast – H. Jon Benjamin, Aisha Tyler, Jessica Walter, Chris Parnell, Judy Greer, Amber Nash, George Coe, and Lucky Yates – are comedic geniuses. It is truly rewarding the way in which the audience and fans have embraced their work and that the ratings to continue to grow. The quality of Archer is undeniable.”
Thursday’s episode, “Live and Let Dine” features a guest appearance from Anthony Bourdain (No Reservations, The Taste), where the ISIS team goes undercover at popular fine restaurant, headed by Lance Casteau (Bourdain). We’ve seen and we can say that it’s this season’s best episode so far. Look for future episodes to have cast members of Bob’s Burgers Eugene Mirman and Kristen Schaal, Carla Jimenez (Nacho Libre), and Mad Men‘s Jon Hamm.

We don’t hide our excitement over the news of another excellent season of Archer at the BuzzFocus offices and we’ll see if the Emmy Awards have any stones, since Archer will be entered into the Outstanding Comedy Series category this year. We dare anyone who’s watched Archer to find many shows more deserving of that honor.
