Hot in Gaming: Luigi, Legacy of Kain and Injustice
Nintendo declares 2013 “Year of Luigi”
Along with the soon-to-be-released Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon, Nintendo has revealed more Luigi goodness is coming in 2013. After their last adventure inside Bowser’s stomach, Nintendo has announced a new RPG will take place in Luigi’s dream and the game is properly named Mario & Luigi: Dream Team. And that’s not all, because Nintendo has also announced New Super Luigi U DLC for New Super Mario Bros. U. The new DLC will cater all the existing levels of the game to Luigi. Little bro will definitely be getting a lot of shine this year.
Free 3DS game offer next month
Club Nintendo is offering a free game next month for registering a 3DS XL and either Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon or Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity. A free download to one of the following games will then be made available: Super Mario 3D Land, Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask, Art Academy: Lessons for Everyone, Freakyforms Deluxe: Your Creations, Alive!, Star Fox 64 3D. The only downside is that only systems registered on or after February 14, 2013 qualify for this offer. Sorry, early adopters.
Legacy of Kain making a return soon?
Popular series, Legacy of Kain may be coming back real soon after a 10 year long hiatus. Square Enix has recently registered the domain “WarForNosgoth.com” and (as if you don’t know) it is a pretty clear reference to the planet and setting of the games. Could this be a reboot or something else entirely? Who knows for now, but another reboot after Crystal Dynamics has just finished the new Tomb Raider is making a whole lot of sense.
Aquaman is ready to brawl
Confirmed to be a fighter this week in the upcoming DC fighter, Injustice: Gods Among Us is Aquaman. The confirmation comes shortly after rumors of magazine scans and sightings began sparking about his appearance in the game. Who else will be making the already robust roster of characters? My hope is for some Terry McGinnis or Virgil “Static” Hawkins.
