dexter season 7 episode 5

Time and time again, Dexter (Michael C. Hall) has said that his biggest mistake with Trinity (John Lithgow) was letting the serial killer live. Sure, Dexter admired Trinity and looked to him as a role model of sorts, but that was no excuse.

In Dexter Season 7, our favorite serial killer is finding himself in a similar predicament. Isaak Sirko (Ray Stevenson) knows the truth about Dexter and he’s not afraid to let Mr. Morgan know just that. At the end of “Run,” we got a brief glimpse into Isaak’s “personal” relationship with Viktor (Enver Gjokaj). Were they lovers or just “good” friends? We’ll learn more about the particulars of their relationship soon enough, but right now we’re wondering how Dexter will be able to kill his way out of this predicament.

With his family once again exposed, Dexter will have to protect both Deb (Jennifer Carpenter) and his son Harrison. That means, he’ll need to kill Isaak as quickly as possibly. Unfortunately, Deb will be looming in the shadows – hoping the Dexter gives up his past time.

Perhaps it’s time for Dexter to take on a new compatriot in Hannah (Yvonne Strahovski). After all, he’ll need help if he’s to go up against an entire criminal organization alone. Hannah and Dexter share an unmistakable attraction that may lead into another Batman and Robin situation similar to Dex and Lumen. However, at least in this situation, the relationship doesn’t feel as forced thanks to the setup with Hannah’s backstory. Unlike Lumen, Hannah isn’t “as” emotionally damaged.

In this clip from Dexter Season 7 Episode 5, “Swim Deep,” Isaak confronts Dexter and threats are exchanged:
