Sam was leading a hunter free life and going to school. Then Supernatural started. He reunited with Dean.
Now, Sam seems to be under the impression that he can lead a normal life hunter-free.
Seriously?
He’s got school applications in again and is day dreaming about life with a dog and his girl.
How long will it be before a demon, aka Crowley, hunts down his new girlfriend, Amelia (Liane Balaban), as some sort of revenge act?
Sorry Amelia, your days are numbered. Sam is a hunter. At some point there will be a reckoning and Sam will be forced to stay with Dean on the road. It’s better for you if Sam goes it alone with his brother. The last thing you want is to die by Crowley’s hands like Kevin’s girlfriend or worse, for you to get possessed by a demon and have Dean or (even worse) Sam kill you.

I’m guessing Sam’s girlfriend has until the mid-season finale before she bites it.
