Syfy has just announced the acquisition of Primeval: New World, the spin-off of BBC’s dinosaur, time-travel series Primeval.
Sanctuary fan favorite Amanda Tapping has been signed to direct several episodes of the new 13-episode series, which will come to Syfy in 2013.
Niall Matter (Eureka), Sara Canning (The Vampire Diaries) and Danny Rahim (Young James Herriot) are set to star. The trip plays “a team of animal experts and scientists investigating paranormal events, while battling both prehistoric and futuristic creatures.”
Primeval: New World was acquired from Entertainment One and is produced by Omnifilm Entertainment.
