Supernatural Executive Producer Jeremy Carver Says Season 8 is Filled with ‘Action & Emotion’

“Angels and demons are coming back in a way we haven’t quite seen yet.”

In this interview, Supernatural Executive Producer Jeremy Carver lets us know that we can expect a slight structural change in Supernatural Season 8. Dean (Jensen Ackles) will inevitably return from purgatory to reunite with Sam (Jared Padalecki). Their time apart, however, will be told predominantly through flashbacks.

“We’ll be telling, in essence, several different stories at once,” says Carver.

The Supernatural EP tells us that this season was a lot of “fun” to work on and that viewers can expect more “action and emotion.” Now that the leviathan threat is gone, the Winchester brothers will return to dealing with angels and demons. However, Carver let us know that the new approach to angels and demons will be completely new. The boys will also face off against ancient gods and vampires.

With regard to Bobby (Jim Beaver), Carver remained elusive. However, it most certainly looks as though Bobby will be back based off of Carver’s subtle hints. The EP also discusses Crowley’s (Mark Sheppard) evolving relationship with the boys. He states that the relationship will become more “personal and “more venomous this season.”

Bobby should stay one. The character became incredibly stale after the past three seasons of overuse (love Beaver though and wish him well in other roles). Looking forward to Carver’s approach and to something structurally different in Season 8 – time to change things a little. Also, as long as demons are around, angels better stay around also.

If you watch the video, he doesn’t say that Bobby will come back, actually he doesn’t say anything at all. I think he’s fully aware of Bobby sittuation.
And he also says, that angels & demons are gonna be portrayed in a different way.
So I don’t know, I think, that everyone working on season 8 can’t really say too much about it.
We have to wait!!!
I don’t like the spoilers too much, but I have HOPE, and I trust Jeremy Carver.
So give him a CHANCE before JUDGING!!!
And be glad that Gamble’s gone!

I dont over hype on any spoilers anymore because they always say things are gonna be greater than they usually are. Last season they made the leviathan seem like a bigger threat than lucifer yet they finished them off so easily, and fast. Not to mention too many convenient situations. As for Bobby returning. Really? Cmon. Bobby should be gone. He had an episode and ghost mode and even an honorable goodbye. More than their own father. They cant bring him back. Thats just so wrong. If season 8 lacks of awe, then this show should call it quits. I dont care how much i love supernatural.

Not really looking forward to more angels…I think that storyline is played out tbh. There have never been any really compelling angel stories, unlike with the demons, and I think they should just put the angel idea to rest.

What I really want to see is Sam and Dean, on screen together at the same time, interacting with and caring about each other. Makes me sad that I have to actually specify that, and that I already know I’m not going to get it.

not looking forward to angels and demons AGAIN- sick of that already-come on carver -get original for gawd sakes. there are soooo many types of monsters, myths ect… out there. sheesh.

If Bobby comes back I am going to have very mixed emotions about this! It really is a fine line. And with Castiel back in survival mode and the Angels and Demons back on the band wagon, I just don’t know what to do anymore. Season 8 is looking to be the best one yet. I seriously hope this show lasts for more seasons.
