If you’re worried that Arrow will have the same teen-drama vibe present in the earlier seasons of Smallville, think again.

“People need to know that when I (Oliver Queen aka Arrow) get into combat situations – that me – causing blunt-force trauma on someone is going to cause damage.” – Stephen Amell

At Comic Con, we spoke with Amell on his starring role in the CW Network’s Arrow. In this interview, Amell explains how his role on Hung, specifically the sex scenes, both prepared him for the role and helped to catch the eye of Director David Nutter (Game of Thrones, Supernatural, Smallville).

Amell dives into the physical demands of this role, letting us know just how hard he prepared himself mentally and physically for the part.
