‘The Walking Dead’ to Usher in King Heisenberg to Comic Con 2012
The presence of excellent television has been on the rise at San Diego’s Comic-Con International, but this year will be the biggest and best presentation by cable network AMC. Two-year veterans of the insanity that is Comic-Con, AMC’s The Walking Dead will return once again, upgraded to fill Hall H full of zombie heads on Friday, July 13 at 1:25pm.
Talking Dead Host Chris Hardwick Moderates the hour-long Walking Dead panel and panelists include Showrunner Glen Mazzara, Executive Producers Gale Anne Hurd and Robert Kirkman, Co-Executive Producer and Special Effects Make-up Supervisor Greg Nicotero, and stars Andrew Lincoln, Norman Reedus, Steven Yeun, Lauren Cohan, Denai Guerrero, David Morrisey, Laurie Holden and Sarah Wayne Callies. Look for the panel to preview some scenes that have been shot for Season 3 and lots of talk about The Governor and Michonne, and maybe we’ll see just how many people will voice their hate towards Lori in public. Autograph sessions will be Friday, July 13 at 10:45 am at Booth #3721.
But that’s just the tip of the iceberg, because Heisenberg and the blue crystal are coming to Comic-Con. That’s right, Breaking Bad will also appear at Comic-Con for the first time, Friday, in the smaller Ballroom 20 at 6:45pm to talk about the first part of their final season and will likely premiere or preview the season opener, which will air for the general public on AMC the following Sunday, July 15.
The hour-long Breaking Bad panel will be moderated by TV Guide’s Mike Schneider and led by Creator and Executive Producer Vince Gilligan and be accompanied by stars Bryan Cranston, Aaron Paul, Anna Gunn, Dean Norris, Betsy Brandt, RJ Mitte, and Jonathan Banks. Autograph sessions will be Friday, July 13 at 10 am at Booth #4229.
Filling out the AMC Comic-Con lineup is filmmaker Kevin Smith (Clerks, Red State) who will be doing is annual marathon Q&A panel Saturday, July 14 at 10pm in Hall H and will be promoting the second season of his podcast/retail reality show, Comic Book Men.
