Mike Wazowski with braces. Sully pulling off dorm pranks. These are just a few of the things to come in the upcoming Monsters Inc prequel, Monsters University.

Pixar has released the first teaser trailer for the film which, if you haven’t guessed by the name, takes us back to the time when Wazowski and Sully were in college, learning the practice of scaring. Back to voice those roles are Billy Crystal and John Goodman respectively, who don’t sound like they’ve missed a beat since Monsters Inc was released 11 years ago. You can also expect Steve Buscemi to be back, voicing villain Randall Boggs, who is not seen is this trailer.

If you’re headed out to the theater to see Brave in 3D this weekend, then you can expect to see this 60-second trailer in 3D attached to it.

Monsters University is currently slated for a June 21, 2013 release.

Official Synopsis: Mike Wazowski and James P. Sullivan are an inseparable pair, but that wasn’t always the case. From the moment these two mismatched monsters met they couldn’t stand each other. “Monsters University” unlocks the door to how Mike and Sulley overcame their differences and became the best of friends.

Screaming with laughter and fun, “Monsters University” is directed by Dan Scanlon (“Cars,” “Mater and the Ghostlight,” “Tracy”) and produced by Kori Rae (“Up,” “The Incredibles,” “Monsters, Inc.”). The film opens in U.S. theaters on June 21, 2013, and will be shown in Disney Digital 3D™ in select theaters.
