In this behind-the-scenes look at The Amazing Spider-Man, Emma Stone, who stars as Gwen Stacy, discusses the tumultuous and ‘overwhelming’ side of stepping into the large-scale, comic book production.
You’ll also get to see that the comedy in the film doesn’t just come from Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker.
At :20, we see a clip with Gwen and Peter in Gwen’s room alone. It looks as though, Peter is unmasked but wearing his Spider-Man costume. In order to deter her father (Denis Leary) from entering her room, Gwen makes a very snarky “teen comedy” remark. “No dad I do not want cocoa, honestly, I’m seventeen years old!” Hopefully, the movie isn’t filled with a lot of these teen comedy one liners.
The Amazing Spider-Man stars Garfield, Stone, Rhys Ifans, Leary, Campbell Scott, Irrfan Khan, Martin Sheen, and Sally Field. The film opens in theaters on July 3rd, 2012.
