AMC has unveiled the Season 5 poster for Breaking Bad and the first thing to notice is its bold statement: “All hail the king.”
That’s right, after [SPOILERS] Walter White (Bryan Cranston) finally figured out how to outsmart BuzzFocus.com 2011 villian of the year Gus Fring, he’s been anointed as the new king of all New Mexico. And what’s the first thing that comes after the power of being the king? As Jessie Pinkman would put it: “mad fat stacks, yo.” (in English: Money, lots of it).
Here’s the official season synopsis:
His transformation from a well-meaning family man into Heisenberg, a ruthless drug kingpin, is almost complete. No longer under the thumb of a mastermind criminal, Walt now assumes the role of one himself, as he and Jesse look to build their own empire. Meanwhile, Skyler struggles with the reality of her husband’s new role and Hank works to wrap up his investigation of Gus’ business.
One has to imagine that the warehouse Walt sits in will become the new place where he will cook his blue candy (also pictured in the background). The big question is: will he be able to fill the place with money or has his string of luck run out? It’s only a matter of time before brother-in-law Hank puts together the pieces of the puzzle and realizes that Heisenberg is who took down Gus and now is the guy calling the shots.
Breaking Bad Season 5 premieres in just over a month. To get yourself back in the mood, be sure to watch from the beginning; AMC will start with the pilot this Sunday, June 10th.
