You can’t keep a good nurse down.

Showtime has just announced that Nurse Jackie, starring Edie Falco as Jackie Peyton, will return to premium network in 2013 for its fifth season. Showtime President David Nevins also announced that Emmy Award nominee Clyde Phillips will be coming aboard as the new showrunner for nursing’s dark comedy. Phillips, who worked as showrunner on Dexter before leaving after the Season 4 finale, will join Richie Jackson as executive producer on Nurse Jackie.
