What better way to get your fix of The Walking Dead than by becoming a zombie watching a marathon of it?

AMC is dedicating the weekend of July 7 and 8th to The Walking Dead, airing all nineteen episodes that span Seasons 1 and 2. This marathon will also include the black-and-white version of the pilot that can be seen on the Season 1 DVD release.

To sweeten the deal, AMC will be heavily integrating its Talking Dead talk show, with host Chris Hardwick introducing each TWD installment from the set of Season 3 in Atlanta. Hardwick will be setting up the storyline in each as well as providing additional commentary on special moments and unique characters.

It all culminates with a live hour-long edition of Talking Dead at 10PM on Sunday, which will give viewers a hearty first look at Season 3. This will include an actual scene, video interviews with the cast, a tour of the new set (can you say prison) and some in-studio guests as well.

This is all interestingly positioned the week before San Diego Comic-Con 2012, where the show will most likely have a large presence. July is clearly meant to be an oasis to give TWD fans their fix while we wait for the October Season 3 premiere.

Also hitting the web today is a photo from Season 3, featuring Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) working with a silenced pistol. That will come in handy for taking zombies (or humans?) out without alerting any roaming herds.
