Sony just released a hot new trailer for The Amazing Spider-Man that is rumored to run in front of The Avengers this weekend. You can watch it below. There is some new footage and some details that continue to excite the Spider-Man purist in me. Here’s some of the highlights.
• We get a grand look at the Oscorp building which is adorned with benzene hexagon patterned windows.

• The web shooters are on display again in close-up and we get to see Peter experimenting with their trajectory.

• Lots of Spider-Man web-swinging through the city, striking iconic poses and utilizing the swinging in action sequences.

• I didn’t notice before, but a red light comes on every time the shooters are pressed, as seen in the alley sequence.

• The Lizard fight sequence is also featured in this trailer, with part of it happening on the ceilings of Peter’s school and underwater.

• The Lizard has a conversation with a shadowed figure in jail.

• There’s a cool scene with Spider-Man hanging underneath a bridge holding a burning car.

Amazing Spider-Man stars Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Martin Sheen, Sally Field, Rhys Ifans, and Dennis Leary. It is directed by Marc Webb with a screenplay by Alvin Sargent and Steve Kloves. Below are a few more of the screen captures from the trailer.
