There are lots of White Collar news today, but beware of some spoilers as you read the following guest-castings.
Neal Caffrey is not the only master criminal to keep Peter Burke worrying at night. The Hollywood Reporter announced Tuesday afternoon that Michael Weston (House) will play David Cook, another over-confident crook who has eluded Peter’s since he became an FBI Agent.
Weston will guest star in the episode titled, “Diminishing Returns” which could be the Season 4 premiere or a later episode. If it is the premiere, that would make sense since Mekhi Phifer as Agent Kyle Williams will be the man sent out to retrieve Neal and Mozzie in some remote island in the Caribbean, not Peter. Joining Weston is Laurie Williams (Blue Bloods) as Rina Oaks, a gem trader and Cook’s fence for stolen goods.
Both Weston and Williams join a growing list of guest-stars that already includes Phifer, Gregg Henry (Hung), Mia Maestro, and perhaps today’s biggest news, Laura Vandervoort (Smallville, V). That’s right, Supergirl herself was seen locking lips with Matt Bomer wearing Neal Caffrey’s trademark hat on the set in New York City and sharing camera time with Willie Garson AKA Mozzie. Vandervoort is rumored to be playing a socialite who stands to inherit a large sum of cash when her husband dies. Given what’s already on the plate for Caffrey in Season 4, he’s now going to be romantically involved with Maestro’s character on the remote island, Vandervoort’s socialite, and potentially still hold a candle for Hilarie Burton’s character Sara Ellis in Season 4. Neal is going to be a busy-busy man.
