The latest trailer for Rock of Ages shows off more of the music, featured in the musical adaptation. Typically, theatre to film adaptations get a don’t a lot love from the viewing public. Then, there are always the purists who prefer the original work.

However, I couldn’t help but raise my lighter in the air, while watching Tom Cruise sing Bon Jovi’s “Wanted Dead Or Alive” in the latest trailer (methinks it’s time to hop back on Rock Band 3). Regardless of how the film feels as an adaptation, Rock of Ages is all about the great cover songs. And, this film will have it by the bucket load. Top it off with a few great one-liners from 30 Rock’s Alec Baldwin and you’ve got one fun flick to kick off the summer.

Rock of Ages also stars Julianne Hough, Diego Boneta, Russell Brand, Paul Giamatti, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Malin Ackerman, Mary J. Blige and Bryan Cranston.

This film opens in theaters on June 15.
