New Video Game Releases: Week of March 27, 2012

in Nintendo 3DS, Sony PS3, Video Games, Xbox 360

The end of March brings home a light week in gaming, especially for Nintendo. There are no new titles on the Wii and only one gaming compilation on the 3DS, called 50 Classic Games.

This week is dominated by Tiger Woods PGA Tour 13 and Ridge Racer Unbounded. Tiger Woods PGA Tour 13 doesn’t come to the Wii, but rather to Xbox’s Kinect and PS3 Move. Similar to the introduction of Wii Motion Plus, the Kinect offers a truly unique golfing experience. Mentally, it’s easier to grasp the control of Wii Motion since you’re holding an actual controller, which represents your golf club. However, after some practice, you will find that the Kinect control offers a similar revolutionary experience.

Ridge Racer Unbounded is the first big racing game of 2012. It offers a grander experience in racing destruction that will set it apart from other racing franchises.

Warriors Orochi 3 was slated for release this week, but appears to have been pushed back.
