Crime and secrecy are in fashion on CBS.
The network has just announced that it has renewed freshman drama Person of Interest, starring Jim Caviezel and Michael Emerson, for a second season. The network has also announced renewals for Hawaii Five-0, NCIS, NCIS: Los Angeles, CSI, Criminal Minds, The Mentalist and Blue Bloods.
With such a rich roster of police dramas, it’s clear that CBS has become the one-stop-shop for crime. It’s not a bad position to own.
The network has also renewed its long list of comedies as well as its reality TV lineup. The lone outcast for the network is the belabored Two and a Half Men series, which is still looking to solidify a contract with Ashton Kutcher. The series may be well past its talented prime, but loyal viewers continue to flock back to the show for its writing.
Long time favorites The Big Bang Theory, How I Met Your Mother and The Good Wife were renewed as well as 2 Broke Girls and Mike & Molly.
The Amazing Race has been renewed for its 21st season and Undercover Boss will continue for a fourth season.
