After a short end of winter hiatus that felt much too long, The Vampire Diaries returns to the CW this Thursday.
In this latest clip from “1912″, the Salvatore brothers reunite for the first time since they were turned. Damon (Ian Somerhalder) is still the more brooding vampire, while Stefan (Paul Wesley) has that Ripper look on his face. He’s also been feasting on some very close “acquaintances.”

This episode introduces Smallville’s Cassidy Freeman to Mystic Falls as Sage, a friend from Damon’s past. It looks as though Sage will help create the more sinister Damon that lives in the present.
