The third game in the Bioshock series is almost here.
2K Games has just announced that Bioshock Infinite, the upcoming shooter set in 1912, will hit game shelves on October 16, 2012 on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC in North America. It will then be available on Oct. 19 internationally.
“After BioShock, we had a vision for a follow up that dwarfed the original in scope and ambition,” said Ken Levine, Creative Director of Irrational Games. “BioShock Infinite has been our sole focus for the last four years, and we can’t wait for fans to get their hands on it.”
Count this fan, excited.
Bioshock Infinite may take place in 1912, but it centers on a floating city of Columbia. So gamers can expect aerial combat on high-speed Sky-Lines. Gamers play as a disgraced former private detective named Booker DeWitt, alongside AI companion, Elizabeth.
