justified tim olyphantIn January, make sure your guns are loaded, your cowboy hat is fitted, and your spy plane is fueled for take off because FX has set the dates for the return of Justified and Archer and the premiere of their new animated show Unsupervised.

Justified will begin its third season on Tuesday, January 17, 2012 at 10 PM ET/PT. Some of the of the events to look forward to include what happens now that the power of the Bennett Clan is gone and Boyd Crowder (Walton Goggins) back in the saddle. Will he return as a thorn in U.S. Marshal Raylan Given’s (Tim Olyphant) side or will he be an ally. Those TV Spots have been awfully vague and intentionally obscure. Also will Ava Crowder (Joelle Carter) find a new purpose at Boyd’s side, or will she be affected by the death and the advice of Helen Givens (Linda Gehringer)? Who will keep an eye on Arlo (Raymond J. Barry)? How strong is Raylan’s commitment to the U.S. Marshals with Winona’s (Natalie Zea) pregnancy, and can he repair the damage to his reputation with Chief Deputy Art Mullen (Nick Searcy)? And let’s not forget that Dickie Bennett (Jeremy Davies) is still on the loose.

We were all given an Archer appetizer back in September when the hilarious three-part Archer special, “Heart of Archness” aired to bigger viewers than its second season. The half-hour comedy picks up from the Archer’s (H. Jon Benjamin) harrowing escape from the Pirate Fortress. Burt Reynolds will guest star as himself to date Malory (Jessica Walter) in “The Man from Jupiter” as in Jupiter, Florida and Sterling proves to be the biggest fan of the man, the myth, and the legend. There is no confirmation yet if Reynold’s guest spot will be the premiere episode or will air later in the season.

And last but not least, debuting after Archer on Thursday, January 19, 10:30 PM is Unsupervised, a new animated comedy about two optimistic best friends Gary and Joel who navigate teen life without parental guidance. It will feature the voices of Justin Long (New Girl), Kristen Bell (House of Lies), Kaitlin Olson (It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia), Fred Armisen (Saturday Night Live), Romany Malco (40-Year Old Virgin), and Alexa Vega (Spy Kids). The series is created and executive produced by the writers/producers of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Rob Rosell, Scott Marder and David Hornsby and is produced by FX Productions in associated with RCG Productions (Sunny stars Rob McElhenney, Charlie Day, and Glenn Howerton) and animated by Archer E.P.s Adam Reed and Matt Thompson.
