Eureka is gearing up for a truly unique episode this holiday, filled with guest-stars like Dexter and Battlestar Galactica star Edward James Olmos.
On Tues, Dec 6, Eureka will be hit by a “mysterious kaleidoscopic wave of color” that will transform the town and its residents into animated versions of themselves. The animation is said to be a blend of Anime, claymation and CG, while having more comedic animated elements drawn from the Looney Tunes cartoon.
Matt Hastings will direct the episode.
It will feature: Emmy-Award winner Jim Parsons as the voice of Carter’s (Colin Ferguson) long put-on Jeep, who’s had enough of his owner’s cavalier attitude towards him. Edward James Olmos will voice Rudy, the leader of a pack of sled dogs who befriends Deputy Andy. Chris Parnell also guest stars as Dr. Noah Drummer, reprising his role from last year’s Christmas special. Matt Frewer will be featured as an animated, altered version of himself, and helps Jo (Erica Cerra) make an important realization about her tough-girl personality.
The episode will be called “Do You See What I See.” The events begin when Sheriff Carter and Allison Blake (Salli Richardson-Whitfield) try to plan a secret holiday surprise for their children.
The animated holiday episode will air on Tuesday, December 6 at 8:00 PM ET/PT on Syfy.
