‘Supernatural’ Exclusive Interview: Jim Beaver Talks Winchester ‘Infrastructure’ Change in Season 7

In this interview, we talk with Jim Beaver, who plays Bobby Singer on Supernatural.

Beaver told us that there would be an “infrastructure” change between the gruff-supernatural hunter and the Winchester brothers. After last season’s shocking finale, it’s going to be interesting to see how Bobby, Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) react to Castiel (Misha Collins).

He also gets into some of his favorite episodes in the series and tells us why finding the human side of his character gets him more excited than the supernatural fights and humor of the show.

    I do not care who has more than 10 seasons, the small flat was because they wererolling inendless romance of Clark and Lana, as Supernatural will never be boring, it’s perfect ..We LOVE of Brazil

    Despite loving my weekly doses of the boys and awesome stories, I don’t care as long as the story arcs are complete enough (gotta leave some mystery) and they go out kicking like true heroes they are, its about time one or both of them die for good. Enough so there won’t be a stupid movie (even tho seeing Jensen 20 feet high would be sweet, these movies never workout)

    I found this program accidentally and became and instant fan.   The boys are eye candy for us old gals and have become quite the actors.  More seasons of this would be far better than all of the crap realitly shows now days.

    Obviously I want more Supernatural! Although I agree with how the god Angles/Demons story arc has gotten really long, like say.. 4 seasons now, but in spite of it I will always want more Dean and Sam together, and the pretty boys thing hardly is the reason why. The meta episodes are actually the best and so damn funny, like Changing Channels and French Mistake… definitely want to see more stuff like that!

    I think 10 seasons would be ok IF the show comes full circle–gets beyond angels, demons and God 24/7 and goes back to good old American supernatural phenomena and creatures. Last season was entertaining, but the ending was rather anti-climatic. They should address Cas’s ego trip early in next season and start gradually getting back to the show’s roots. Maybe revisit some urban legends that have gone haywire due to Eve’s visit last season and address some new myths.

    The show has to end, and soon. Too often genre show wear out their welcome, the writers run out of good ideas, and start taking their lead from the fan base for inspiration. THIS IS A BAAAD THING, FANGIRLS! I for one hate funny, Meta episodes, which are fannish staples, but bad storytelling overall. They do not advance the story,or add to the mythos. And if it is to survive even this, what should be its final year, SPN has got to get rid of QueenFangirl Sera Gamble as showrunner! She is a pretty-boy-obsessed nincompoop! Of course, so is three quarters of the fanbase…

    Nope i want this season to be the last and a movie because Smallvile   got boring and i am saying this as a fan

    I can totally see to season 10 and hopefully beyond.  I like how Jim tried not to really give anything away.  I do like spoilers though.

    I can totally see Supernatural’s 10th Season happening. There is still much lore to explore and the show has taken some unexpected twists that make it perfectly possible. I just expect they keep the gist of the characters cause that’s what makes Supernatural successful.
