Does the poster art for Bridesmaids look more like a Mob Wives promo or a group of slutty prostitutes in a police lineup?

bridesmaids Kristen Wiig

Comedian Kristen Wiig writes and stars in a new film about middle aged women on the way to the alter. Don’t expect anything amazing in respect to a story arc. This film will be all about putting together a motley crew of comedic women and seeing how many laughs they can pull off. Based on the trailers, Melissa McCarthy seems to have the funniest moments.

Bridesmaids is Directed by Paul Feig and Stars Wiig, Maya Rudolph, Rose Byrne, Wendi Mclendon-Covey, Ellie Kemper, McCarthy, Chris O’Dowd, Matt Lucas, Jill Clayburgh, Rebel Wilson, and Michael Hitchcock.

This film opens in theaters on May 13th, 2011.

Story:
This spring, producer Judd Apatow (Knocked Up, Superbad) and director Paul Feig (creator of Freaks and Geeks) invite you to experience Bridesmaids. Kristen Wiig leads the cast as Annie, a maid of honor whose life unravels as she leads her best friend, Lillian (Maya Rudolph), and a group of colorful bridesmaids (Rose Byrne, Melissa McCarthy, Wendi McLendon-Covey and Ellie Kemper) on a wild ride down the road to matrimony. Annie’s life is a mess. But when she finds out her lifetime best friend is engaged, she simply must serve as Lillian’s maid of honor. Though lovelorn and broke, Annie bluffs her way through the expensive and bizarre rituals. With one chance to get it perfect, she’ll show Lillian and her bridesmaids just how far you’ll go for someone you love.

Best comedy of the year, and possibly top 10 overall. So funny.

    Anyways,
I remember watching an interview with Kristen Wiig and Chris O’Dowd
talking about possible sequel ideas. So maybe Jon Hamm is just
    speculating?
