Clark Luthor returns!

Smallville’s has been oscillating back and forth between bleak and fun episodes as of late, but it’s time for a return to the dark side. As we get close to the end, things get kickstarted again with tonight’s episode “Kent,” which marks the return of John Schneider in the alternate universe version of Pa Kent. Check out this behind the scenes video, featuring Executive Producer Brian Peterson, who explains the return to the bizzaro world. While the real Clark (Tom Welling) is busy trying to tame a the deranged version of his father, Clark Luthor is busy in the real side of things, with his eyes once again set on Tess Mercer (Cassidy Freeman). Tom Welling looks especially creepy again as his bizarro self and he has always seemed to relish playing the darker side.

It looks like we’re in a treat, so savor it. There are only six episodes left!

Wow. The showrunners really love the idea of Clark and Tess together. Another alternate universe episode just to have Clark and Tess making out again. I wonder how long and steamy the kiss is going to be this time. It was reeeaaally long and hot he last time. No doubt the real Clark will say something sweet to Lois at the end of the episode and all will be well in the universe again. Of course there won’t be any Clark and Lois passion, only fake Clark will be sticking his tongue down Tess’ this episode. Kelly Souders will be wetting her pants over that scene.

Episodes like this are good for the Welling resume, and should serve to illustrate to fans that there is a career for him beyond playing CK/Superman. I totally support Schneider advising him not to audition for Man of Steel.
