After presenting some brand new footage of her action flick Hanna at WonderCon last weekend, Saoirse Ronan spoke to us on how she became the butt-kicking eponymous heroine in the movie.

Dressed in a Junk Food Wonder Woman Retro T-shirt, Saoirse gave us the rundown on the intense combat and martial arts training she had for the film and why it’s wasn’t intimidating at all to go against the incomparable Cate Blanchett. She also discusses what she hopes audiences take away from her teenage character, who has been sheltered from the world and trained to be an assassin from a very young age. That said, the character embarks on a journey into the world where she has no preconceptions about what to expect, but has to use her survival skills to conquer her greatest challenge.

Hanna, a Focus Features film, is in theaters nationwide today.
