Wonder Woman in Action With New and Improved Costume!

Shooting has begun on NBC’s Wonder Woman pilot and The Daily Blam has a bunch of photos on the set of Adrianne Palicki (Friday Night Lights) and her stunt double in the costume which has been tweaked based on the online outcry when the first official image of the costume was released. There’s even a video on there from someone witnessing the shoot.

As you can see the bright blue shiny latex/pleather pants have been traded for some type of navy fabric blend and red boots replaced the blue ones that matched the old pants. The tiara still looks a little awkward now that we see it in full where Palicki’s hair is not hiding it. For what it’s worth, it’s no longer the glaring eye sore from before.

Another observation is that the stunt double looks a bit more buff in the outfit (as expected); her arms are more toned and have more definition. It’s worth pointing out only in that this is Wonder Woman and she is supposed to be an Amazon, although who knows what David E. Kelley is going to bastardize about her origin. Anyway it’s something for Adrianne to work on after the pilot is shot. I’m still not feeling much hope for this show, but then again, I’m someone who thought Smallville would have ended six seasons ago. We’re showing just two photos here but again, check out The Daily Blam for lots more pictures.

Do the costume changes make you happier or at least more confident in the Wonder Woman television show? Or does it still have that straight-to-dvd-or-the-bootleg-section-of-your-nearest-comic-convention feel to it?

I liked the all-shiny, blue original. Now she looks boring

Is she running to get her cell phone out of the car because Jamal is going to ask her the million dollar question?

they needed to take a Batman or Dark Angel approach to this and make it a much more serious custom. This is going to be as big a joke as the Bionic Woman remake.
