Minnesota Twins catcher and defensive powerhouse Joe Mauer stepped off the baseball field and into the gaming world this week at the Sony Style store in NYC. Check out the photos below. Mauer, the cover athlete in Sony’s traditional baseball game MLB Show 11, put down his wooden bat in exchange for a PS3 Move controller as he showed us how baseball can be be played in the virtual world. You can see the joy in his face as the purple ball lit up on the PS3 Move. Surprisingly, his skills off the field were just as good in MLB Show 11, hitting virtual pitch after virtual pitch.
