New York Comic Con 2010 (NYCC) is only a week away. Although NYCC is still the stepchild of the annual entertainment industry meet-up, San Diego Comic Con, there will certainly be a lot to buzz about with both the Green Lantern (Ryan Reynolds, Blake Lively, Peter Sarsgaard, Mark Strong) and Thor (Starring Natalie Portman, Chris Hemsworth, Anthony Hopkins, Idris Elba) feature films coming out in 2011. Also Red opens up Oct 15, one week after NYCC’s Oct. 8th opening.

We’ve got a light week on the Pull List. From Vertigo Comics Scott Snyder, Stephen King and Rafael Albuquerque go to Graphic Novel with American Vampire Vol. 1. This is one of the hot series of the year so it’s a great time to jump on before you’re three years behind and caught trying to catch up before the movie (there’s always a movie). The Sandman: The Dreamhunters from P. Craig Russell’s comics adaptation of Neil Gaiman’s epic fantasy novella is also now in trade paperback.

Our BuzzFocus Must Read Title of the week goes to Driver for the Dead #2 (of 3) from Radical Comics. This series continues to be “a fantastic page turner” (see review). We just hope Radical gives it a longer run so that it can match wits with Alice Hotwire.
