It is the only show out right now that combines movie quality CGI with dynamic characters, memorable action sequences and a robust story arc.
At Toy Fair 2010, we discovered Uncle Milton’s Star Wars: The Clone Wars science toy line. Now, we’ve got our hands on a few Clone Wars items that are sure to bring delight to your children’s summer adventures.
Uncle Milton Uncle Milton Star Wars Science Mini Lightsaber Tech Lab
“Learn about light and optics you will.” You’ll find this Yoda quote on the packaging of Uncle Milton’s Mini Lightsaber Tech Lab. You may have heard of Build-a-Bear, but did you ever think you would one day build your own lightsaber. This lab puts Jedi tech in your hands. It’s a mini-model kit series, consisting of fourteen parts (if you include the battery compartment cover) and a lightsaber fact sheet. If you’re a fan of the Star Wars franchise, you probably know that different lightsabers have different colors. This kit includes all four Jedi crystals: red, green, purple, and blue. So that you can build the saber that best befits your style of Jedi. The enclosed fact sheet will also give you a better reference point as to which Jedi use which crystals.
The lightsaber is an actual working lightsaber that works on 3AG5/LR48 batteries. Although these batteries are included, we would have preferred it if the lightsaber worked on a AAA or AA battery. If you think back to when you were a child, you’ll remember how difficult it was to find the replacement circular batteries. Typically, were found in Radio Shack and various photography stores, but photography stores have been on a steady decline since the advent of digital photography. The lightsaber comes with both a wide-angle lens and a focusing lens so that you an see how light reacts through the different surfaces.
This is a great toy to give children and cultivate their inner engineer.

Uncle Milton Uncle Milton Star Wars Science Clone Trooper Recon Kit
“Discover the world of your own backyard you will.” This quote adorns the packaging of The Clone Trooper Recon Kit. This bug collecting apparatus with search light may not win over many parents who fear a bug infestation in their house. However, if you’re child is a fan of exploration and you live in an area with backyards aplenty, you’ll want to consider this unique toy for your children.
This recon kit consists of two varying sized jars so that children can collect anything from rocks to bugs. There is also a soil-sifting lid so that you can be sure to only collect the necessary critters lurking in the ground. The recon kit comes with a magnifying glass for specimen examination. It also doubles as a flashlight so that you can go bug hunting in the dark. There is a “recon tool” included that doubles as a small shovel and a tweezers. The tweezers are a little too wide to be really effective unless you are gathering small rocks. Included is a quick facts sheet about bugs like the millipede.
This device works on 3 AG13/LR44 batteries to operate the flashlight. Similar to the Lightsaber Tech Lab, we would have preferred more conventional batteries for this device.
This item doesn’t have the same Jedi appeal as the Lightsaber tech lab, but it screams backyard bonanza.
