Naruto Shippuden: Volume 7 can only described as thrilling and inspirational. Over the course of four episodes (27 through 30), viewers will be reminded of how overly compelling the characters in Naruto are. This volume is infused with Chakra and well worth watching more than once.
The seventh volume of Shippuden, features the final moments of Granny Chiyo and Sakura’s fight with Sasori of the Red Sand. While, Volume 6 felt like one of the longest fight scenes to ever be witnessed in an Anime series (next to the Majin Buu or Cell saga in Dragon Ball Z), Volume 7 is pure adrenaline. This is the crux of the most difficult battle in Sakura’s life to date. You’ll have to watch it to see how important this will be in the ongoing mythos of Naruto. Chiyo and Sakura must make a life-or-death decision to take down Sasori.
The members of Team Guy are still fighting with their clones. This battle also draws to an epic conclusion in Episode 28, “Beasts: Alive Again.” Team Guy comes to the unfortunate conclusion that their clones have become stronger simply because the clones have not tired, while Team Guy is battered and exhausted. Suddenly, Rock Lee has an epiphany that brings his team to a new level of ninja mastery.
The most exciting aspect of Naruto Shippuden 7 is that we finally start to see Kakashi’s full power. Previously, we had only been given a taste of what the legendary copy ninja can do. In Shippuden episodes 29 and 30, Kakashi will use the Mangekyo Sharingan to take down Deidara. But that’s not the only surprise inside this volume. Kakashi is sure to win several more adoring fans after this volume.
Episode 30 also hints at a brighter future in relations between the Sand and Leaf Shinobi. Throughout the Naruto series, we saw that the rivalries between the Sand and Leaf were intense. Thanks to the friendship between Naruto and Gaara as well as the diplomacy of Lady Tsunade, we have started to see a strong bond build between the two villages. However, when Granny Chiyo was introduced we learned just how bitter the past between the Sand and Leaf had been. The White Fang of the Leaf, Kakashi’s father Sakumo Hatake, had killed Sasori’s parents. Chiyo had never forgiven the White Fang for murdering her son and daughter-in-law. In an emotional scene with Naruto, he attacks the elders of both the Sand and Leaf for storing the tailed beasts within the children of their villages. This scene will be one to remember.
Naruto Shippuden: Volume 7 contains four episodes that are vital to the Naruto anthology. You’ll have to watch them to really appreciate them. This volume is not just important to the ensuing war with the Akatsuki, but it is also filled with enough ninja action to remind you just why you like Naruto so much.
