Anchor Bay has recently released Capitalism: A Love Story, starring Michael Moore. To celebrate the event, BuzzFocus and Anchor Bay are teaming up to give away (2) copies of Capitalism: A Love Story on DVD.

About Capitalism: A Love Story
capitalismIn presenting a “fireball of a movie that might change your life” (Peter Travers, Rolling Stone), Moore “skewers both major political parties” (Claudia Puig, USA Today) for selling out the millions of people devastated by loss of homes and jobs to the interests of fat cat capitalists. Moore has “dug up some astonishing dirt” (Brian D. Johnson, Macleans), stories told in the faces of the foreclosed and evicted, in the food stamps received by hungry airline pilots, and in the courage of fired factory workers who refuse to go quietly. But more than a cry of despair, Moore’s film raises the possibility of hope. Capitalism: A Love Story is “The most American of films since the populist cinema of Frank Capra (It’s a Wonderful Life)” (Dan Siegel, Huffington Post ), “a movie that manages shrewdly, even brilliantly, to capitalize on the populist anger that has been sweeping the nation” (Joe Morgenstern, Wall Street Journal).

That’s what I like about America-greedy bastards. Not that I don’t believe in capitalism, hell I have a degree in Business Administration but America is going to hell. Thank God there are filmmakers like Michael Moore who tells it like it is.

I did not go to see this film while it was in the theaters, so a DVD win would be good

I hope more people get to see this important doc now that it is on DVD. I think they’ll be amazed to see some of the things Michael uncovered like old film footage of FDR, from 1943, where he proposes a Second Bill of Rights for all Americans. Sadly, it never came to be due to FDR’s untimely death, but one of the items was universal health care for all which is a subject on every Americans minds these days, or at least it should be, but more importantly it needs to be on every Americans lips, as we need to speak up, or the corporate lobbyists will once again get their way. Let’s get at least part of FDR’s, and Teddy Kennedy’s, dream enacted, even if it’s watered down, it’s a start. Call or write your Congressperson.
