Just when you thought all hospital shows were the same, Showtime dropped Nurse Jackie in the mix this summer to shake things up. Edie Falco, who stars as Nurse Jackie Peyton, quickly won over our hearts again in her first big role after The Sopranos. You will be able to relive the 12 episodes of the awesome first season when it comes to home video on February 23, 2010.
So fans and newcomers alike, what’s it going to be for you? The red pill or the blue pill? The series will get both DVD and Hi-Def Blu-ray releases.
Not only can you catch the first season of Nurse Jackie this February, but you can also tune in when the show returns for Season 2 on March 22, giving you just under a month to catch up.

Here’s a little something about Nurse Jackie:
Nurse Jackie Peyton is far from ordinary. As an ER nurse, she navigates the rough waters of a crumbling healthcare system, doing everything she can to provide her patients with the best care possible. Whether she’s lighting into a smug doctor for failing to heed her advice, or stealing a fat money clip from a man who stabbed a prostitute and giving it to a pregnant widow, or forging the organ donor card of a man who just died, Jackie Peyton is compelled to make sense of the chaos and to level the playing field whenever she can. Right or wrong, it’s Jackie’s brand of justice all made that more manageable by a daily diet of prescription pain medication.
