Alright, Dexter - getting into in an accident after killing your latest victim was careless. But getting caught by Rita whilst busting your neighbor’s porchlight? That’s just downright sloppy.

I don’t know about you, but with 3 episodes of the fourth season of Dexter already behind us, I’m feeling Dexter’s suburban woes as much as he as. Between the campy neighbors, the attitude-copping step-daughter Astor and the imposing wife Rita, I’m missing the days when it was just Dexter, his apartment and his kill tools. Should Rita be his next victim for that ‘rousing’ rendition of Karma Chameleon? I think yes, but we all know that’s only wishful thinking.

We still know very little about Arthur Mitchell, the Trinity Killer. He’s obviously demented and scarred from some incident in his past. Who was he pretending to have a drink with? My guess is that he lost a loved one that died in a manner in which he feels responsible for.

Even more important, I’m curious to see how his path will cross with Dexter’s and just how much interaction the two will have. Will this season be pure detective work by Dexter to track down the Trinity Killer or will he become the prey of the Trinity Killer himself? But I like this slow reveal approach of Trinity’s motivations, which is reminiscent of the slow simmer of Ice Truck Killer reveal in Season 1. The writers spent the whole first season unveiling just what the villain was up to.

Things start to get really crazy in Episode 4.4 ‘Dex Takes a Holiday.’ Dexter presumably wiggles his way out of trouble with Rita, who takes the kids out of town for a wedding. This allows Dex to set his sights on new target, a dirty cop. Meanwhile, the Trinity Killer and Agent Lundy finally cross paths.

Check out two clips from Sunday’s upcoming episode.

I agree that the Trinity Killer must have been scarred in the past by a relative-related incident. I’m curious to see if Deb will cheat on her man with Lundy! I’m thinkin’ YES. I’m guessing because of Quinn’s stupid journalist slut, Trinity will have some upper hand in avoiding Lundy when she writes about the “confidential” investigation going on. I feel Dexter will end up killing the Trinity killer and leave his body out in the open, to imitate his killings. That way Lundy will find him and all will be a happy ending.

Dexter really needs to stop trying to take care of petty crimes like vandalism. I know they spray painted his house, but seriously? Trying to attack a kid two nights in a row, when there’s a neighborhood watch on your trail? Please, Dexter… you’re smarter than that.

Sure it was cramping your style, but that’s why you adapt. It’s time to go back to Harry 101. Bye Bye Rita.
