After a record breaking Season 3 Premiere, Californication is officially going for round 4 in 2010. Today, Showtime Networks President of Entertainment Robert Greenblatt announced that twelve new episodes of Californication will premiere in 2010.

The Season 3 Premiere garnered record-breaking viewership, up 57% from season two. It seems that people just can’t get enough of Hank Moody and his hilariously-vain sexual exploits. And, who can blame them? Step aside Vinny Chase, David Duchovny is unmatched as the single-father and bachelor king of California. It’s one thing to be a millionaire success, it’s another to be a washed up writer who just can’t help fornicating with every piece of the California pie.

About Californication
The series follows the exploits of writer Hank Moody (David Duchovny in his Golden Globe Award-winning and SAG® Award-nominated role) as he works to balance his career, ex-girlfriend, daughter and hedonistic vices. This year, the economy and lack of book sales force Hank into teaching at a Los Angeles university. Will he be able to keep it together while guiding the next generation of scribes? Californication is created by Tom Kapinos and executive produced by Kapinos, Duchovny and Gina Fattore.

I have to say that season three kinda sucked by comparison to the two first. This is not saying it was bad though, but season one and two raised the bar in sitcom television so high it had to come to an end. Hard to top. The main reason is Hanks behaviour. You love his ways when it’s based on his own self loathing. This last season he was too pleased with himself. Always with a smudge on his face. Also I didn’t think the rest of the cast matched previous seasons. But still I can’t wait for the fourth season based on the last episode. Cause that may have been the best episode yet, all seasons included.

    Go Hanky

You want a change from idealistic piffle and learn bout how life can really fuck you secrets, Drugs, alcohol ever wonder why the world offers so little but takes so much. Californication puts a realistic flip on the fact that every person can be a fuck tard yet still have dignity hank is a true rock ‘n rolla if only we could get through the bullshit that faces us in real life with a smile and joke like this bloke. Reccomend it to anyone with a lack of a smile. Bring on the next ten seasons i say.

this is a really nice show, i enjoyed the two weeks i spent on all three seasons, this stuff is addictive !

I think this is a dangerous show because it is so realistic, and it makes having a messed up family and fucking around to seem like something completely normal and also a cool thing. If you are a father and drink and fuck like that, much worse things is going to happen then what you see in the show. The story in californication is an example of the best outcome of that life style. (and its quite messed up now)
So many shows now has the same theme, the good guy is a bad guy but we still love em…

I will wait for the forth to come. Dont stop what your doing, we all need some Californication. . .

So I’ve just watched the finale of season 3 and am nautious.
…What am I gonna do now?
    …Wait? Fre you F**king serious? …How long?

I watched Californication when it aired as a pilot on UK TV, then it vanished into Chilli Pepper court rooms and writing strikes until came the day my life started resembling a UK version of the show and I thought of its well written, cutting, whipping, one liners and gut wrenchingly hilarious calamities and knew I’d find solice in its irreveerrent comedy so searched for shows on the net.

Mega video provided the medicine, but now I’ve greedily watched all the available shows like a junky getting their first score after quitting for a year…and I wonder just how long do I have to go cold turkey until I can get my next hit?

Hank Moody .. we need you.
