Next week, one of the best RPGs of 2009 will be released exclusively for PS3. Published by Atlus, Demon’s Souls will integrate online play into your gaming experience. Gamers can message other players with hints and tips, as well as view deaths of other players. Simultaneous cooperative and competitive multiplayer modes are also set up.
The game hits shelves everywhere Tuesday, Oct. 6. However, Atlus has just announced that should you manage to land your hands on the game early, the online component will not be ready until Oct. 6th either. So don’t prematurely panic if you can’t get on.
We were fortunate enough to play on the demo servers prior to the game’s release. Unfortunately, those servers were shut down at the end of September. So, we’ll be waiting for Oct. 6th as well to hop back on and sharing some trade secrets.
The graphics are visually stunning, and you’ll immediately be drawn into the hellish story. We’ll have our review up soon, but just so you’re warned, as far as RPGs go, this game is damn near flawless.
