Charlie now has his own theme music. Every time Charlie appears, the music composer queues the ominous nature of his true identity.

Second, there is the ongoing mystery of the shapeshifter’s compatriot. Who exactly is Charlie speaking to through the typewriter? Could it be William Bell (Leonard Nimoy), who returns to the cast on Oct. 8?

Next, we have the question of Olivia Dunham’s disappearance. She was gone for a full hour. Walter suspects she was in a different universe. But, why can’t she remember anything? Has she suppressed the memories of whatever it is she learned in the alternate universe? And, why are the shapeshifter and his mysterious boss so interested in what Dunham learned during her absence from this plane of reality?

Finally, we have the mystery of Olivia Dunham (Anna Torv) new superpower. Much like Superman, she can hear just about anything going on within the radius of a city block. In “Heroes,” Sylar (Zachary Quinto) had to learn how to control his super hearing. Olivia must do the same and has met up with Sam (Kevin Corrigan) to find help.
