The newly branded Syfy Network has indeed lived up to the words “Imagine Greater.” Syfy’s hit new series, “Warehouse 13,” blends X-Files with the staunch cop/wacky cop routine of “Rush Hour.”

With eleven episodes in the bag, and a finale showdown on the way, fans will be expecting a lot from their summer-born-Tuesday-night-science-fiction series. Of course, fans won’t be looking for the finale twist/shocker they would expect from Fringe or Lost. No, fans will be looking for laughs along with an ample touch of historical references that make you “say hmm.”

After all, that’s what “Warehouse 13” is all about. “What if?” What if Edgar Allen Poe’s notebook and pen possessed mystical powers, what would they do? We saw in episode 11, “Nevermore,” that it could be used to make the literary wonders of Poe’s mind a reality. While, Jack the Ripper’s lantern could be used to mesmerize its victim before death. These were the tools of MacPherson, the one man who has become a thorn in Pete (Pete Lattimer), Myka (Joanne Kelly) and Artie’s side.

And, now we come to the crux of Warehouse 13’s frosh season. After staging an attack on Myka’s dad, MacPherson has crossed the one line most upstanding and proper criminals don’t step over: messing with family. In Warehouse 13 Episode 12, “MacPherson,” the artifact team will face off against MacPherson, who has turned to selling artifacts for a profit. MacPherson (Roger Rees)has remained one step ahead of the team since he first showed up on the scene. He’s had his chance to kill both Myka and Pete, but has opted to stick to theft over murder. So, would a showdown result in any of their deaths? It’s unlikely. After all, there is a “Warehouse 13” Season 2 on the way.

MacPherson’s history with the Warehouse and with Artie (Saul Rubinek), suggest that there may be something deeper that may unfold during the finale. Breaking up an artifact ring, just doesn’t seem all that climactic. Even if MacPherson died, something else would have to occur to change the dynamic of the group. Or, maybe, that’s just wishful thinking from a “Lost” fanatic.

Besides the twist, here are a few other questions that we’d like answered:
We’ve seen the regents, but just who the heck are the “higher ups” that those damned reports are going to?

Where can I get one of those non-di-litheum crystal-using transporters that Mrs. Frederic and MacPherson seem to use?

Will Pete and Myka become more than friends? Come on. You know you were thinking about it too!

Be sure to catch the “Warehouse 13″ Season Finale Tuesday, September 22nd at 9/8c on Syfy.

Really? You guys didn’t like it?? I thought it was great, although I am disappointed if Leena has really been converted… but, seriously, what great questions does this raise. How do Pete and Myka get back (they are on the wrong side of the umbilicus), where is the real Claudia? Where is Ms. Frederic? What happened to the warehouse? Is it still in SD? How will they bring Artie back, because we know he signed up for another season. How will they rein in McPherson? I think it sets up a great deal for next season. How will they account for all the artifacts - since some are missing (although it looked like they had found McPherson’s stash). Too bad we have to wait for next year and I really hope they make 20 not 13.

I expected more from the finale, and was a little disappointed.

The season finale was enough to turn me off on the new season if there is one. You have given the bad guy all the advantage and the good guys are either dead, been deceived, or at the big disadvantage to continue on the series. After all you who wrote this series didn’t give the viewing audience anything to hope for, and I moght add one less viewer!!
