If there’s one woman who has changed the way we see mothers on TV, its Gemma Teller Morrow on FX’s Sons of Anarchy. Katie Sagal plays Gemma, the house mother of SAMCRO, a motorcycle club dealing in illegal weapons trade. Gemma raised the stakes on grandma responsibilities by trying to killer her son’s baby mama. Her “bros before hoes” mentality, leads her to putting SAMCRO first, while she pits Jax’s lovers against one another in her free time. Even being raped by a white separatist organization didn’t stop Gemma from SAMCRO matriarch duty. If you haven’t seen Gemma in action, you’ve been missing out on life.
