Soon you’ll be able to listen to old Michael Jackson classics on your iPhone and then switch over to jack some cars in Liberty City in a heartbeat.
In a not-so-shocking announcement, Rockstar Games has announced that it is currently developing its Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars game for the iPhone and iPod Touch handhelds.The game was originally available only on the Nintendo DS until Rockstar announced that they would be making a port for the Sony PSP.
It’s no secret that the iPhone is becoming a powerhouse when it comes to platforms to develop games for. And the GTA series is about as good as it gets when it comes to best-selling video games. What can we expect out of GTA on the iPhone? It will probably be somewhat of a watered-down version, but the proposal does sound compelling. GTACW has just the type of short-mission set up that would allow you to complete a task and save before your subway ride is over.
No word on a specific data yet, but the game is expected to be released later this year.
