EA Sports has just released a new producer video featuring NBA Live 10 Lead Gameplay Designer, Mike Wang.
The video highlights passing, shooting and off-ball play.
The big improvement seems to be in passing. We’ve experienced freestyle dribbling before, now EA is adding in freestyle passing using the right thumbstick. Gamers can move one way and pass the ball the other way. Point guards and take-it-to-the-hole ballers will definitely appreciate the need for more controlled no-look passing. More importantly, now gamers can control the off-ball receiver. Gamers will also be able to control the types of lay-ups they make.
Of course, the video features close up shots so you probably won’t experience the game through this view, but it’s still great to check out.

NBA Live 10 hits shelves Oct 6., with the demo coming in early September.

Looking forward to it. But, I’d be happier if the defense was updated. Live 09 had way too many defensive loopholes that lead to absurdly high scoring games. I’d prefer a sound game than a game where flaws were glossed over in the “hopes” of adding more realism.
