In only two episodes of “Weeds,” Esteban has transformed from Pilar’s bitch to a balls-havin’ politician and back to a lowlife lackey who breaks his balls for everybody. I guess Esteban isn’t a fan of the “Scarface” mantra, “I got two things in this world, my word and my balls and I don’t break ‘em for nobody.”

So, what happened in prison to make Esteban turn Benedict Arnold on Nancy? We’ll find out in just one week as we close in on the “Weeds” Season 5 finale.

In Episode 12, Shane posed an interesting “alternate reality” question that would make Stan Lee proud. What would happen if we traveled back in time to the day his father died and Nancy did everything differently? It sounds like a problem left for the pages of the “What if” comics of the 80s. One thing is clear though. There are a lot of regrets in the Botwin household. And, as rap mogul Jay-Z would say, “You got to learn to live with regrets.”

On a side note, everyone should raise a glass for Shane. When he uses Ignacio’s training on the two guys trying to take advantage of Esteban’s daughter (Seychelle Gabriel) I jumped out of my seat to celebrate. Kudos to this Botwin man for having the balls Esteban lacks.

As for Celia, she’s on the run from Doug and Dean. The duo will stop at nothing to get their weed back, even if it means breaking a few rules in the area of political correctness.

About the Weeds Season 5 Finale:
Nancy learns of Esteban’s fate and takes action to preserve her own. Andy makes a big change in his life. Dean, Doug and Celia find common ground. Silas helps Adelita with a disturbing medical issue.
