We’re only two episodes away from the “Weeds” Season 5 finale and the end result of Pilar Zuazo’s mini-war on Esteban and Nancy.

Now that Esteban has been carted away by the police, the time has once again come for Nancy to save the day. Unfortunately, Nancy saving the day usually results in next season’s conflict.

But war is not the only thing brewing on “Weeds” - Love is also in the air. Celia is contemplating living The L Word lifestyle with her cosmetics supplier, while Andy and Dr. Audra Kitson (Alanis Morissette) have shacked up in new-couple-sexual bliss. Unfortunately for Celia, she’ll have to battle her daughter, Isabelle, for the lesbian crown in the Hodes family.

What does Jenji Kohan have brewing for Nancy? Her sons have begun to shy away from her due to her high-profile/high-stakes marriage. Nancy’s ongoing romantic-three way with Andy appears to be a distant memory. Guillermo has been extradited to Mexico in the hope of helping Nancy battle Pilar. And, if Esteban stays in jail, Nancy will return to single-soccer-mom lifestyle. But, isn’t that the Nancy we love and adore? Fans got a whole new “Weeds” when the show returned for Season 4, let’s hope the show can stay fresh and introduce new dynamics in the coming finale and the next year’s “Weeds” season 6.

In “Weeds” Season 5 Episode 12, “Glue,” Andy steps back into Nancy’s life to help with the search for Esteban. Celia will learn what it means to encroach on her lesbian offspring’s sexual territory.

One day I decided to start watching this show and i started from season 1 and i was at blockbuster twice a week for a month before i watched every single episode…it is by far the best show ever written/produced/etc. brillance. Season 5 was a bit odd and unconventional but im sure it will play in perfectly with the following seasons! and whoever said bring back Conrad, thats a fabulous idea.i agree with some of the people..this show should be somewhat about weed! but I like how all of the characters have developed…i wasnt so sure id like season 4 and 5 but i LOVE them! I hope doug has a bigger role in season 6, Kevin Nealon is effin hillarious!! And Shane taking Pilar out with the croquet mallet was the BEST! hes a little badass! Please just hurry and get season 6 out!!! i seriously will be jonesin! keep up the amazing work! and thank you so much, you are a breath of fresh air in todays entertainment society, its a joke. <3

Huge Weeds fan, I have been watching faithfully since season one and have fallen in love with the antics of this drug dealing family. Yet I feel that the show has strayed FAR from the ideals that originally made this show great. I was excited when in season 4 Doug, Silas, and I assumed Andy would join in to team up. I hoped the show would become focused on them because Nancy is just starting to fall apart and I feel is no longer interesting because now she just complains about how screwed up her family is and how she can’t fix it. I feel that Celias character is awful and should in no way become a major factor of the show. But mostly I was extremely dissapointed with season 5 because of how predictable it was. The only exciting and unexpected turn of events was the season ending and even then it was only the last 2 or 3 minutes that will make me want to tune in next season.

Jenji this show is like a weekly appointment that i don’t miss. Loved the season finale and especially the song of the last scene. It was about time that someone shut Pilar’s mouth!
Bring back Conrad, though Nancy is past him, he could be a good asset to Celia’s team.
Thanks a lot for this season and wish next one will be a little more up-beat.

Season 5 was a slow-go, filled with too many teases for something or ANYTHING to happen, but rather kept spinning off into unnecessary tangents and brickwalled “cliffhangers” that never really fully developed. I’m still a fan of the show, and am looking forward to S6, but I hope that it will be a season of cohesive storylines and a little bit of satisfaction from week to week, instead of hopelessly waiting for the next episode to give some kind of pay off. Estaban’s drug addict daughter was a waste of story time, the fact that nancy now has a new baby was BARELY touched upon, and Celia who we all love to hate is becoming more interesting than Nancy, and I never thought I’d think that for how much I used to HATE Celia’s character.
I was disappointed to know that E13 was the season finale, because FINALLY something happened that surprised and really interested me (Shane whacking Pilar). I thought we were finally opening the door for something to happen in S5, so hopefully all that slow momentum leading up to a pretty significant event will make Season 6 something worth watching, and something worth getting us to a Season 7 as well.

I thought this show was about selling WEED? I’m going to repeat some of the previous comments. It completely went down hill after season 2 (yet I still watch…) And WHY is Celia still on the show? Isabelle is HILARIOUS, but her mom completely sucks. Stupid character. Bring back CONRAD, make him save Nancy from the stupid situations he’s gotten herself into.

At first I hated Alanis Morissette’s character, but she’s grown on me and is now my favorite love interest for Andy yet! (Isn’t THAT ironic?)I hope they keep her on the show for a while, but I have a feeling she’ll leave Andy over his less-than heroic actions during the finale. Lame.

Why is Celia even on this show anymore? That entire family (Dean, Quinn, Celia, and Isabelle) needs to go. And why is Sanjay back? Jenji, I know you love your characters, as do we all, but we’re leaving the realm of what I could plausibly believe MIGHT happen, (suburban widow forced to deal), to a storyline that is boring, slow, and far-fetched (Celia’s makeover and drug-ring).

Please, ditch the old characters we loved and instead write reasons for us to love the new characters.

    Love this show!

Season 4 was iffy, but got totally hooked again this season. It got really good.

I agree the episodes should be an hour long. Too much happens then fade out quickly. Im sure the step-daughter will just fade out now. The big thing this season was supposed to be the baby, yet the baby is not in a lot. I think the storyline would flow better if it was an hour, and not just throwing in big twists then immediately writing them out.

Great finale. I’m thinking something will happen to Esteban - he might get killed or, now that Pilar is gone, be sent to jail. I don’t think he will last. We all know Nancy was meant to be alone. Her dead husband was her only soul mate. Season 6 is gonna be fun!

I am pretty sure sylus will end up on the new team. I saw sanjay there, but no conrad!? lets hope they bring him back! o and you know Andy will be back in the mix and join the group once that doc he is dating leaves him for running!!! lol too funny!

As for Nancy, Iv been waiting for this Estaban guy to go away for a while… i dont like her with him, its just not the nancy we grew to love! Shane on the other hand is just…. wow! poor kid thinking back to the first seasons though… he always had some issues…. pretenting to be a terroris… masturbating to his mothers pic…shooting his teachers bird!… come is it reall a shock that he killed this lady?! lol NO! poor kids got problems. He has learned what his mother has made his life!

Weeds was amazing during seasons one and two. But after the fires and subsequent move to San Diego, the series just kind of lost its appeal and sense of realism. The acting is great, but the story line is lame and struggles greatly from week to week. The writer should get back to what made Weeds the success it has become, or just end it!

Shane heard this psycho dictator puta make threats on how she would kill him and his brother…so basically it was self-defense to preserve his own life. I loved that he did it. Awesome ending. Someone has to have the balls!

jenji, great work and this is probably the sickest ending i’ve seen to date!i don’t think the blow to the head was enough to kill pilar, i forsee shane diving in to drag her out of the water and revive her. when she awakes , he will then lay down the,” don’t f&%k with my mom, family” speech and check her. this will in turn cause some hostilities.nancy and guillermo will have words about some crap, shane will witness this and there you go, just like his mother,(not afraid to X someone off). with the support of his new connected, family; shane does the un-thinkable. I THOUGHT OF IT!!!VIVA MEXICO! YOU SHOULD ALSO HAVE A CONTEST FOR A FAN TO BE IN AN EPISODE NEXT SEASON! me. haha! IF YOU NEED ANY IDEAS I’M HERE.
    PEACE
