Mad Men is back for season 3, and several changes will be taking place as Sterling Cooper becomes part of an international conglomerate.

After season 2’s shocking ending, Don Draper is back with Betty. But, the question remains what will become of their marriage. No one can forget the brief pause in the finale when Betty said, “I have something to tell you.” Would Betty admit to having a one-night stand affair as payback for Don’s years of infidelity? Not a chance. She simply revealed her pregnancy.

Speaking of pregnancies. Peggy Olson has finally worked up the courage to reveal her the truth about her affair with Pete. After Pete confessed his feelings for the young copywriter, Peggy told Pete that she had his baby, leaving the slick-tongued account executive speechless.

Roger Sterling callous relationship woes has spearheaded Sterling Cooper’s buyout. He’s finally got the younger wife he has always dreamed of, at the cost of half his fortune. The question still remains as to whether Herman “Duck” Phillips will remain president of the new business. During the final negotiations with their new British headquarters, Phillips exploded when Don Draper nonchalantly threatened to walk away from the new company.

The Ad Men inner circle of Paul Kinsey, Ken Cosgrove, Harry Crane and Salvatore Romano has been threatened by downsizing, while Salvatore continues to explore looming sexuality questions.

And, what of Joan Holloway? Will she be content on being a simple Office Manager, or will she join Peggy in the feminist movement to climb the corporate ladder. After Joan helped to build Harry Crane’s new Television Department, Harry simply tossed her aside for male employee to fill the role.

All of these issues fall under the Cold War threat and the unsettling alliance between Cuba and Russia. We’ve learned more about Draper’s past, and we’ll see if true identity comes back to haunt him.
