The lines have been drawn. And, to the victor goes: Steven Ray Botwin aka Stevie Ray.

Now that Esteban has renounced his son under the stifling heel of Pilar Zuazo, Andy has taken over the reigns of fatherhood to Nancy’s newborn. Andy has decided to take on the responsibility of being Steven Ray Botwin’s father by signing the baby boy’s birth certificate. But, that’s not the first decision Andy’s making in this newborn’s life. He has also inducted Stevie Ray into the Jewish faith. Needless to say, Esteban is not in the least bit happy about his son being Jewish.

The cause for Andy’s sudden burst of “maturity” is none other than Grammy-winning singer/songwriter, Alanis Morissette. She may be the first girl to ever walk away from a date with Andy on Weeds. And, our favorite Botwin sexaholic is none too pleased with that.

Celia may be trapped in the makeup business with a soul-signed contract. But, things are beginning to look up for her. She’s decided to partner with Dean to use Silus and Doug’s incarcerated Weed stash.

This may be one of the most bizarre seasons of Weeds to date; we’ve seen time jumps, babies, foreign militia, and several dead bodies arise. Yet, the humor and fun is still there. The question remains as to what hold Pilar really has over Esteban, or if he’s just a political puppet without any cojones. How the three-way-parent war will play out will be answered in just a few more episodes.

In Weeds Season 5 Episode 9, “Suck ‘N’ Spit,” Nancy and Andy will explore the boundaries of their love triangle and new found parenthood. Celia and Dean go all out with their new Makeup ‘n Weed business.

And, I won’t even bring up the old-as-time-running Internet Argument that: “Weeds Season 1-3″ was better. Oops, I just did. ;)
