At Comic Con 2009, BuzzFocus talked with Director Troy Duffy (Boondock Saints) on making Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day.
The original “Boondock Saints” was is now a cult classic, and fans have clamored for a sequel since the end of the original Boondock. The first film ended on a cliff hanger, and ten years later we’ll finally get a chance to see what happened.
After 10 years, Duffy is still taking Boondock fans seriously and he has “patiently” waited to raise enough money to get a studio release for the second feature. In his own words, “sequels suck,” and the director states that the cast, crew and himself understand that you just “can’t screw up” Boondock II.
“Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day” once again stars Sean Patrick Flanery and Norman Reedus as Connor and Murphy McMannus. Billy Connolly is back to reprise his role as Noah ‘Il Duce’ McManus. Boondock newcomer, Julie Benz (Dexter), joins the cast as Eunice Bloom. Clifton Collins Jr. plays the roll of Romeo.
“Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day” is expected to hit theaters November 1, 2009.
