Recently, WeTV and the USO joined forces to buck the trend of “Bridezillas” plaguing the nation.
Five couples, whose grooms are part of America’s Armed Forces, pledged their love for each other and country in New York City’s Times Square. The rain didn’t dampen the wedding festivities as the brides walked under the cover of WeTV umbrellas to Times Square’s Military Island for the ceremony.

The Five Couples included:
- Gunnery Sgt. Joseph Minucci (US Marine Corp) and Michelle Mesa.
- Senior Chief Aaron Ryan (US Navy) and Barbara Borowy
- Lt. Kelly Lanning (US Navy) and Meghan O’Brien
- Jeff Smith (US Navy, Pentagon) and Traci Dehaas
- Staff Sgt. Anthony Perretti (US Air Force) and Brittany Cartwright
American Idol’s Melinda Doolittle was on hand to usher in the newlyweds first dance. The five couple’s shared in a taste of WeTV’s “Amazing Wedding Cakes,” as WeTV President and GM, Kim Martin, toasted to their futures.
“Bridezillas” airs Sunday at 9p/8c followed by “Amazing Wedding Cakes” at 10p/9c.
